Identitätsträger im 21. jahrundert
Der Siegelring ist ein Schmuckstück und Statussymbol, welches zugleich ein Identitätsträger ist. Er trägt den Besitzer betreffende Informationen nach außen. Damals war der Siegelring zugleich auch noch ein Gebrauchsgegenstand, zum Versiegeln von Dokumenten und Briefen. Das Projekt führt den Siegelring in das 21. Jahrhundert.

The signet ring is a piece of jewellery, a status symbol and on the same time a status symobl. It shows special information of the owner to the world. Back then the signet ring was also an object of utility, for sealing letters and documents.
This project takes the signet ring to the 21th century.

Der neue Siegelring des 21. Jahrhunderts als Identitätsträger durch NFC. Hierdurch kann die Visitenkarte zur Gänze ersetzt werden. Im Bereich des NFC-Chips sind der Gestaltung des Ringes keine Grenzen gesetzt. So steht der Ring als Statussymbol, wie der Siegelring, als Objekt für sich im Raum.
The new signet ring of the 21th century – as mirror of identity by NFC. With this technology the business card can be replaced completely. Also there are no limits for the design of the ring. Therefor the ring as status symbol, like the signet ring, presents itself.
Anwendung Application
Die Anwendung bleibt, bis zu dem Moment des Bedarfs, unerkannt. Denn auch zum Datenschutz ist der Chip verdeckt und in diesem Zustand ist er nicht lesefähig. Der versteckte NFC-Chip enthält alle Kontaktdaten oder beliebige Informationen, die der Besitzer seinem Gegenüber weitergeben möchte. Kein Eintippen, kein Internet und ein eindrucksvolles, ersten Kennenlernen.
The application stays hidden, until it’s needed. The NFC-chip is also hidden for data protection, because it’s only working in the open. The hidden NFC-chip has all contact details or optional information. No typing, no internet necessary and therefor an impressiv meeting.
