Identitätsträger im 21. jahrhundert
Der Siegelring ist ein Schmuckstück und Statussymbol, welches zugleich ein Identitätsträger ist. Er trägt den Besitzer betreffende Informationen nach außen. Damals war der Siegelring zugleich auch noch ein Gebrauchsgegenstand, zum Versiegeln von Dokumenten und Briefen. Das Projekt führt den Siegelring in das 21. Jahrhundert.

Mirror of identity in the 21th century
The signet ring is a piece of jewellery, a status symbol and on the same time a status symobl. It shows special information of the owner to the world. Back then the signet ring was also an object of utility, for sealing letters and documents.

Der Rollsiegelring greift das Rollsiegel auf. Dieses gibt es seit dem alten Ägypten und diente dem Eigentumsvermerk. Die Motive der Rollsiegel waren unterschiedlich gestaltet und konnten so dem Besitzer leicht zugeordnet werden.
This ring picks up the cylinder seal which exists since the old Egypt. It was used for marking the ownership of property. The motives were designed differently so it was easily assigned to its owner.
Anwendung Application
Der Rollsiegelring des 21. Jahrhunderts gibt persönliche Informationen wie die der Internetadresse weiter. Das Ritual der Informationsübergabe ist verpackt als Geste für das Gegenüber. Die weitergegebenen Informationen haben einen Autogrammcharakter, da sie nur für das Gegenüber, mittels Durchschlagpapier, auf die gewünschte Unterlage, abgedrückt werden. Hierbei ist es irrelevant ob auf leere Visitenkarten oder in einen Notizblock. Im Set kann der Ringbesitzer ein Hardcover-Etui mit Durchschlagpapier mit sich führen, wodurch vor allem das Abdrücken im Stehen und unterwegs erleichtert wird.
The cylinder seal ring of the 21th century provides personal information e.g. homepage. The ritual of providing the information to another person is a big gesture for your counterpart. The so given information has the character of an autograph. Only for your counterpart the information is printed with carbon paper onto the favored place. It’s irrelevant if you print it on a blank business card or a pad of paper. The ring owner can also carry a case with carbon paper so it’s easier to use on the way.
